Itinerary

The National Bank is just a short walk from Brussels Central Station, with its connections to the railway, underground and bus networks. Next to the Bank, there is a Villo! station (www.villo.be), where you can hire a bicycle.

  • By public transport

    The NBB is a five-minute walk from Brussels Central Station, making it easy to reach by public transport. Leaving the station by the main entrance (Carrefour de l’Europe), turn right onto Boulevard de l’Impératrice. A few minutes later, you’ll pass the cathedral; carry on until you reach Boulevard de Berlaimont.

    • Train: Bruxelles-Central/Brussel Centraal station. Timetables may be consulted at www.belgiantrain.be.
    • Underground: Gare Centrale/Centraal Station or De Brouckère metro stations (lines 1 and 5). See www.stib-mivb.be for more information.
    • Bus: Gare Centrale/Centraal Station (29, 38, 63, 65, 66, 71, 86) or Arenberg (29, 66, 71, 86) stops. See the route planners provided by STIB, TEC and De Lijn.

  • By car

    The NBB car park is accessible only to Bank staff and registered visitors or guests. Details on nearby public car parks can be found at www.q-park.be (Pachéco) and www.interparking.be (Grand‑Place car park and others).

    Access via the Brussels inner ring (Petite Ceinture) – Rue de la Loi:
    • Coming from the Brussels inner ring along Rue de la Loi, follow the signs to Centre/Centrum.
    • At the traffic lights with the Royal Park on your left, go straight on.
    • At the next set of traffic lights, turn right and follow the road 90 degrees around the cathedral.
    • Take the first left.
    • At the traffic lights, go straight on through the intersection into Rue d’Assaut.
    • The car park will be on your right, after the bend in the road.
    Access via the Brussels inner ring (Petite Ceinture) – Boulevard Pachéco
    • Stay on the Brussels inner ring until the Botanical Gardens (Botanique/Kruidtuin).
    • Take Boulevard Pachéco.
    • At the roundabout, keep straight on to Boulevard de Berlaimont.
    • After 300 metres, turn right into Rue d’Assaut.
    • The car park will be on your right, after the bend in the road.
