Etienne Gérard
Financial risk manager
Etienne GERARD began his career at the National Bank in 2017 as a supervisor of significant banking institutions. In 2023, he joined the NBB’s Middle Office, where he focuses mainly on monetary policy risk management. He is a member of the Eurosystem’s Risk Management Committee.
Prior to joining the NBB, Etienne worked in the financial sector, notably as a portfolio manager at Allianz Belgium and a risk manager at Axa Bank Belgium (now Crélan). He holds a master’s degree in management science from UCLouvain.
