Consultation
The data in the Corporate Credit Register (CCR) can be consulted by borrowers and guarantors, reporting agents (credit institutions and leasing companies) as well as third parties authorised by law to do so:
- Borrowers and guarantors can consult free of charge the information relating to them in the CCR.
- Reporting agents (such as credit institutions and leasing companies) may consult the CCR before extending credit and during the full term of a credit agreement.
- Certain third parties are entitled to consult the CCR: the FSMA, the Belgian Data Protection Authority, the European Central Bank, certain civil servants, etc. A list of these third parties can be found in Article 10 of the Act of 28 November 2021 on the organisation of a Corporate Credit Register.
