  • Chair of the COST action 16206 "Empowering the next generation of SE scholars" (2018 – 2022) involving 35 countries.
  • Co-ordination (with J. Defourny [ULg]) of the “International Comparative Social Enterprise Models (ICSEM) Project” (2013- 2021), which involves over 200 researchers from some 50 countries across the world. The main specific feature of the ICSEM Project is its geographic coverage: it aims to compare social enterprise models and their respective institutionalization processes across the world.
  • Principal investigator of “city4coEN : Collaborative cities for collaborative entrepreneurs” (2017-2021) (with T. Dedeurwadere and O. De Schutter), funded by Innoviris Brussels-Anticipate (Prospective Research).
  • Principal investigator (with J. Defourny [ULg], M. Jegers [VUB] and M. Hudon [ULB]) of the “Interuniversity Attraction Pole on Social Enterprise” (IAP-SOCENT; 2012-2017).

  • Research chair “Economie sociale et lutte contre la pauvreté” (2016-2023), Fondation Louvain, in partnership with the social enterprise “Les Petits Riens”.
  • Co-ordination (with G. Herman, D. Desmette and E. Léonard) of an interdisciplinary—economics, psychology and industrial relationships—“Action de Recherche Concertée”: “On the Fringe of the Labour Market: Social Production of Job (In)security in the Post-industrial Society” (2010-2015).
  • Co-ordination of two inter-university research programmes on “Society and Future” funded by the Belgian Science Policy Office: (1) Social economy and liberalization of services: the case of proximity services (2006-2009); (2) Social economy and sustainable development (2001-2004).
