Cédric Duprez has been an economist with the National Bank of Belgium since 2010. After earning a PhD in economics, he began his career as an assistant lecturer at the University of Namur, before joining a consultancy firm and then the National Bank. Cédric’s research focuses on value chains and business analytics. Recently, he has studied economic flows between Belgium’s three Regions, the impact of the Covid-19 crisis on firms, and the effect of rising energy costs on corporate profit margins. Cédric is also a lecturer in advanced microeconomics at the University of Mons.
