Interest rate survey (MIR)
The evolution of interest rates is a source of important information for monetary policy in the Eurosystem. In order to harmonise the survey on the interest rates applied by monetary financial institutions (MFI), the ECB decided to standardise the definitions, calculation methods, measurement periods and MFI selection criteria used by national central banks.
