Deglobalisation, decarbonisation and digitalisation: How the three Ds affect firm pricing, markups and productivity
Ces dernières années, l’économie mondiale a été soumise à un certain nombre de forces liées à l’offre. L’une d’elles réside dans des évolutions structurelles. Il s’agit, pour n’en citer que quelques-unes, de l’intensification de la numérisation, de l’automatisation et de la robotisation ; de l’accélération de la décarbonation ; et de la poursuite de la démondialisation/régionalisation, portée par la recherche d’une plus grande résilience de la chaîne d’approvisionnement ainsi que par l’aggravation des tensions géopolitiques et la résurgence du protectionnisme.
Toutes ces évolutions sont de nature à influer sur le comportement des entreprises, à façonner leur productivité et à affecter leur pouvoir de marché ou leur activité en matière de fixation des prix. Qui plus est, les réponses des entreprises peuvent s’avérer extrêmement disparates dans ces domaines. Il y a lieu de bien documenter cette hétérogénéité, de la comprendre puis, dans un second temps, de l’intégrer dans des modèles macroéconomiques afin d’étayer la conception de politiques pertinentes et ciblées.
